Spring into Baseball and Softball Season | London Softball Leagues

March 19, 2014

Spring is here and so are the baseball and softball seasons. Get excited for the Major League and your GO Mammoth softball league in London.

The sun is shining, the grass is green, and the softball diamonds are just itching to be played on. Opening Day for Major League Baseball is here and so are the awesome GO Mammoth softball leagues in London. What a better time for grand slams, double plays, and of course possibly some mouthwatering hot dogs. Spring is in the air and it’s the perfect time to watch baseball and get outside and play in the most social softball leagues in London.

The MLB struts some fresh and exciting players this season and it’s the time to watch them bat themselves to stardom or ‘pitch’ an argument to become a MVP candidate.  My young guns to keep an eye on are Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Jose Fernandez and Yasiel Puig.  Obviously, these guys have already proven that they have some serious talent complemented by sheer athleticism.  If you want to see bombs, stolen bases, arms like flamethrowers, and diving catches… these are the explosive players to witness and will potentially become the players you will idolize after this season. GO Mammoth is also looking to find some new ‘diamonds in the rough’ this Spring and showcase their talent.  Why not come out as an individual and display your skills on the field?

GO Mammoth run softball leagues in Canary Wharf, Regents Park, Battersea Park, Wandsworth Common and Shephards Bush.

This year’s MLB season will be a battle to the finish with many teams fighting to be the best. If you have a softball squad, the following teams are my best models to follow.

My elite teams that are looking to take home the championship hardware in the American league are the Detroit Tigers & Boston Red Sox.

-The Tigers are a stacked bunch looking to earn their stripes this year. With MVP Miguel Cabrera and Cy Young winner Max Scherzer leading the charge it will be a tough ‘pride’ to beat.

-The Red Sox are the returning champions and are looking to defend their crown.  They play hard, smart, and have known to be tough to beat ‘patriots’ at their home field of Fenway Park.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals have my leading lineups in the National League.

-The Cardinals have been so consistent for the last decade and they are always a dominant threat to take home the pennant.  They know baseball strategies so well; it’s like they have a ‘bird’s eye’ view of everything in the game.

-Then of course there are the Dodgers. The blue crew has arguably the best pitching staff in baseball behind Cy young winner Clayton Kershaw and Zach Greinke and also has the big bats to blast them into the playoffs. Teams will have a tough time ‘dodging’ this trolley if every teammate is all aboard for winning.

So the time is now, to come out and gear up your gloves and boast your bats on the softball diamond. Does your team have what it takes be a softball champion? Don’t strikeout by sitting on the couch; come out and score by playing softball with GO Mammoth!
